1. What can I recycle?

Please visit your City's recycling page to see exactly what you can recycle through our curbside recycling program.

2. When do I place my cart out for collection?

Place your cart out as directed by the recycler that collects your recycling. Usually this is at the curb for easy pickup but you can always check with your City to find out exact placement. If you sign up for our collection reminders we will send you a message prior to your collection, as currently scheduled.

4. How do I earn points for recycling?

Points are awarded to residents of Deerfield Beach, FL, Chesapeake, Suffolk, Norfolk, and Colonial Heights, VA based on participation which includes: recycling approved materials and placing your cart out for collection on the scheduled pick up day.

5. Do my points or rewards expire?

Your points do not expire but your rewards do. We suggest redeeming rewards only when you intend on using them because they expire thirty days after you print them.

6. Where do I enter a promotional code for bonus points?

To redeem your promotional code, you must log into account. Then, under your “Profile” you will see a link entitled “Enter Promotional Code.” Select that link and follow the steps to redeem the code you have received.

7. What if I am not in your service area?

Recycling Perks is available only to specific cities; please contact your municipal leaders to request the Recycling Perks incentive program. If you are not currently in our service area, you may earn points for active participation in other Recycling Perks events. We expect to expand into new areas soon Recycling Perks creates partnerships with recycling companies, municipalities and local businesses.

8. What if I recycled and earned no points for the collection.

Please make a Points Inquiry here to request that we take a look at your collection information and determine why you were not given the proper points. There is also a button on your account page that lets you request points that were missed. We want to ensure that you earn points for your recycling efforts.

9. How do I redeem points for rewards?

Login to your account and go to the "Rewards Store". Select the rewards you want by adding them to your cart. To print the rewards, go to your shopping cart and checkout. You will be prompted to confirm and place your order and a .pdf of your selected rewards will be provided for you to print. Adobe Acrobat reader is needed in order to view and print rewards. A copy of each order will be sent to your Recycling perks Account Mailbox for your records. The value of the rewards vary, but you should be able to save up to $25 each month depending on your reward selections.

Rewards are offered by local businesses and you will be asked to present your reward voucher at the time of redemption. Specific details or instructions from the Reward Partner will be printed on each reward and listed on the website for your convenience.

10. Can I give someone my Reward for them to use?

No. Each reward voucher will have a full name and specific transaction information printed on the front. You may use the "Gift a Reward" feature at checkout to send a reward to a friend. You will need the email address of your friend so they can receive the reward. They will need the reward and identification in order to redeem.

11. What if I do not have a computer or printer at home?

The only way to access your account is online. You may use a personal computer or smart phone to create your account online. We recommend that you visit your local Public Library to create an account and redeem points. This will allow you to start earning points right now.

12. I never received an email verification message to complete my account set up.

Please check your "SPAM" or "Junk" folders in your personal email mailbox. In some cases, the first message received from Recycling Perks may be misdirected to a folder other than your inbox. To ensure you receive email messages from Recycling Perks be sure to add info@recyclingperks.com to your address book. Please note that you must activate your account before you can attempt to log in.  If you are unable to complete this step, please contact us and we will help resolve the issue.

13. I am unable to log in and I receive a message that my account credentials are invalid.

This happens when the email verification step during the account creation process has been skipped. Please check your email for a message from Recycling Perks requesting that you verify your email account. This is a security provision and once completed, your account will be created and confirmed. If you were unable to find the email, please contact us and we will help resolve the issue.

15. How can my business participate in Recycling Perks?

Please use our contact form to send us a Reward Partner Request. We will respond with information on how your organization may be involved in Recycling Perks.
